Thousands Find New Game On The Net

Interactive agency Naked Penguin Boy invited online gamers to test out its new generation of popular online foosball game Miniball™, and play Miniball 2™ at: www.miniball.co.uk

More than 7,000 online game fans found the beta test version of Miniball 2™, featuring league play via the Naked Penguin Boy web site: http://www.nakedpenguinboy.com/. Although the agency did no pro-active marketing to introduce its beta test version of the game, news of its availability spread virally.

“We have been in a stealth mode and did no online whisper campaign to announce that our beta test of Miniball 2™ is live,” said Rowan Heasley, commercial director of Naked Penguin Boy. “Despite our silence, thousands found the game.”

Players from around the world have been setting up Miniball 2™ leagues and challenging each other again and again. Many players are from the United Kingdom, but hundreds have registered from Spain and other European Union countries. The game was scheduled to be fully launched in August 2005. Naked Penguin Boy offered a final few weeks for fans to register and play the Miniball 2™ beta version. Early players of the game had the opportunity to become Very Important Players, eligible for future special status within the game and prizes.
